Home News & Events Knife Crime Drop Down Day
This week, Acorn Digital Learning students joined a Drop-Down Day focusing on knife crime.
Guest speakers shared their own experiences of lives being affected by knife crime and tips around managing personal safety.
The event was organised by Assistant Headteacher, Helen Walker, and the team, with Teacher, Morgan Melhuish, running an interactive session which encouraged students to discuss the investigative elements of a fictional event, including who would be affected by this scenario and what the repercussions would be.
Educational Quality Advisor, Kerri Hastings, said “Throughout the day, I observed real engagement and active participation from students. The event was a real success, and the team did a brilliant job of delivering this impactful session in a sensitive manner.”
